About Us
Our Purpose
The Maritime Primary and Secondary Education Coalition (MPSEC) fosters the development of maritime education in our nation’s primary and secondary schools. This is accomplished through a network of local, state and federal agencies, private employers, maritime associations, institutions of high education, and other interested partners.
Goals
- Connect industry, government, and educators on a regional and national level
- Foster events, webinars and meetings to promote maritime education
- Collect and disseminate existing materials
- Support in the development of specific course material for primary and secondary school programs
- Support in the development of outreach programs
- Maintain a website and social media sites to connect members and share information
