We're ready to set sail on daring voyages to accomplish the extraordinary.
The Maritime Primary and Secondary Education Coalition (MPSEC) actively promotes the advancement of maritime education within our country's primary and secondary schools, with a strong emphasis on cultivating the culture of sharing resources and fostering collaborative efforts. Our goal is to introduce this critically important industry to educators and students and help them identify "the engine of global trade" as a career option.
This mission is executed through a well-connected network involving local, state, and federal agencies, private employers, maritime associations, institutions of higher education, and various dedicated partners who are keen on collaborating to enhance maritime education's effectiveness and reach.
Students can access learning opportunities and resources to foster their interest in the maritime industry, preparing them for potential careers in the field.
MPSEC offers professional development opportunities, curriculum resources, and collaborative support to enhance educators’ knowledge and teaching skills in maritime.
The coalition bridges the gap between education and industry, ensuring the skills and curriculum align with industry needs and providing a pipeline of skilled individuals to the maritime sector.
